Should we be able to carry a scan of our genotypes in our wallets?

When DNA Fingerprinting was introduced it aroused much opposition because of the legal, ethic, and moral controversy it could potentially pose. Should people have access to such information? Should technological advancements allow for individuals to have the ability to carry a scan of such information in their wallets, along with their credit cards and cash? What problems do you think the world would be likely face with such information easily accessible? Could access to such information be advantageous?

But, I know the answer….
Yes, NO, and maybe.
I think it would be extremely advantageous to be able to quickly, and accurately judge a person based on genotype.
Consider this scenerio
“Hello Jean! My name is Brian. Would you be interested in having dinner with me, and perhaps consider being my mate? I would love it if you would carry on my genetic line…?
“Well, of course I would Brian! However, let’s exchange genetic material information, and see if we are compatible!”
-they exchange info-
Looks like both Jean and Brian carry the gene for Neurofibromatoses, and after much debate…they decide to adopt! Happy ending!
Or, having genetic information on hand could be extremely harmful.
Medical insurance companies could find almost any genetic disorder as a reason to refuse clients. or they could charge ridiculous amounts of money for “pre-existing” genetic conditions.
And what about possibility? Just because someone has a genetic abnormality doesn’t necissarily mean that it will always be expressed.

These are mostly ethical questions, and thusly, have no answers.
