Help !! What should i wear to my husband’s office party (formal wear)?

I am a 26 year old married woman. I have to attend my husband’s office party next week. I am thinking of wearing a very formal black skirt with a ruffled “gray/steel” silk shirt and black heels. Would this be appropriate for the occasion? Also,.. what should i carry- a black handbag or a clutch purse? What other accessories do i need to use?
