Giraffe/cow/zebra leather purses?

ok i bought one on a saturday and its just like the leather ones but it has cow print instead of giraffe print. On that monday i noticed that the brown/black spots have like little white flakes all over it. Does any one know what that is and what i can do?? also i got some ink from a pen on it how do you get that off a leather purse??

Are you sure the purse is genuine leather? If it’s not, then that’s probably why it’s getting all flaky. And it’s really hard to get ink off of anything.
